Until Battleround

Ahead of the Punjabi Prison match Sunday night, WWE champion Jinder Mahal kicked off Tuesday's show, flanked by The Singh Brothers. The Modern Day Maharaja made his way to the ring and looked ominously at The Punjabi Prison that enclosed it.  Mahal promised to smash Orton's face into the structure and vowed to leave Sunday's show champion.  Orton interrupted the promo and climbed to the top of the prison, staring down at his Battleground opponent. He warned Mahal that there will be no Singh Brothers to help him retain his title and reminded the champion that the only reason he has that title is because of them.  The segment ended with Orton vowing to leave Mahal lying in the ring while he sits perched atop the structure, the new WWE champion.               Last week, Xavier Woods earned momentum for The New Day, defeating Jey Uso in singles competition. Jimmy looked to even the score as he squared off with Kofi Kingston.  Kingston had control of the match head

It's Johnny...

For the first time since a shocking betrayal by Tommaso Ciampa left him beaten and battered, and DIY a thing of the past, Johnny Gargano returned to NXT television Wednesday night and addressed the fans inside Full Sail University. Former Ring of Honor tag team and television champion Bobby Fish made his return in the NXT Arena, battling Aleister Black in a match that foreshadowed great things for the veteran in-ring performer.                                     Bobby Fish made his NXT debut to a thunderous ovation Wednesday night. He would have the unenviable task of being the latest Superstar to try to remove Aleister Black from the ranks of the undefeated. Black scored an early kick across the chest that blasted the wind from the newcomer, but Fish answered back with a leg sweep that turned the tide in his favor. Fish's educated feet proved his greatest strength as he targeted Black's equally as educated lower limbs. Looking to prevent his

The brand new WWE United States Champion AJ Styles is out to kick off the show, and the fans great him with a big chant. He makes fun of Kevin Owens but says the title is no longer about him, it’s about what it will represent going forward. Styles announces that he is bringing back the true U.S. Championship Open Challenges, and that’s how we’re going to kick off Smackdown Live here tonight… John Cena’s music plays and the crowd erupts the only way they know how for the 16-time world champion. Cena wants to make sure he heard Styles correctly, and wonders if he’d put the title on the line against the face that runs the place. AJ says all challengers are welcome, so the match is on!                       Referee hits the ring and we get official introductions for this championship match, but before the bell can ring Kevin Owens makes his way out and complains that nobody wants to see another stupid John Cena and AJ Styles match for his title. He asks Cena why he ev

The Revival to BREAK The Hardys

One night after WWE's Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view kept fans buzzing due to the physical nature of the double main event, Monday's episode of Raw kept the intensity going.  It may not have been the most even three hours of wrestling from beginning to end, but Raw delivered a trio of exciting storylines that left a lot more questions than answers, which is exactly the right way to keep viewers coming back.  The show's highlight was a red-hot dialogue segment between Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe, which began to reveal what the future might look like in terms of booking heading into SummerSlam. It was announced that Reigns and Joe will meet next week for a shot at Lesnar's universal title in August.  There was also the unresolved developments between former Shield partners Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, which stretched out over a pair of segments, after both wrestlers -- still more cautious foes than friends -- rescued one another from e
