WWE SmackDown Women's Championship #1 Contender

The show opens with a recap of last week's excellence with Kevin Owens and Vince McMahon.Live in the arena, Shane McMahon makes his entrance, but no shuffling this week, he's all business. He says we all just witness what he considers a cowardly act carried out by Kevin Owens, beating his father down in the middle of the ring. One thing's for sure, he has to give his old man credit for being one tough, salty SOB.They haven't always seen eye-to-eye, but at the end of the day he's still his father and he loves him. Shane asks Kevin Owens to imagine if he'd been sitting at home watching someone he love get beat down by a coward, how would that feel? His kids had to see their grandfather take that beat down, and when you cross one McMahon, the entire family strikes out with massive vengeance. He doesn't think KO realizes what he's done, or maybe he has, since he hasn't shown up yet. Owens didn't just beat the chairman down, he beat the patriarch of the McMahon family, and Shane condemns him to a ruthless beating at his own hands, to a life of pain and suffering, and to Hell in a Cell.Commentary hypes that match up a bit before talking up our United States Championship match tonight.Randy Orton is shown walking backstage to send us to break.Back from commercial, Aiden English gets his spotlight and sings a mocking rendition of Randy Orton's entrance theme until Randy Orton's actual entrance theme interrupts him.

Aiden English vs. Randy Orton

English in hot, putting boots to Orton to the point where he nearly gets disqualified by referee Dan Engler. Whip to the corner and Randy gets a lariat in, another, snap scoop powerslam, thinking about the rope-hung DDT but Aiden slips outside. The Viper follows, punch to the face, back suplex onto the barricade, uppercut, going for another onto the table but English lands on his feet and back suplexes Orton onto the announce desk!Randy's struggling on the floor as we head to break.Back from commercial and English has a reverse chinlock in the middle of the ring. Orton struggles to his knees, gets to his feet, throwing punches, into the corner, straight rights and a stomp to the foot, but Engler backs him off and Aiden gets an eye rake and a dropkick off for a nearfall. Knees to the back, the reverse chinlock reapplied, the Viper to his feet, body blows get a knee, whip into the corner.Randy sidesteps the charge but runs into a boot, English off the second.
Randy Orton wins by pinfall with the RKO.
Randy goes to celebrate with his pose on the turnbuckles when Rusev comes out with a microphone. He says going into SummerSlam he was going to be a national hero in Bulgaria, but in ten seconds Randy turned him and his family into a national disgrace. So tonight, he's gonna rip the fangs out of the Viper's mouth and do it right now.He heads to the ring and Engler makes it a match!

Randy Orton vs. Rusev

Orton goes for the RKO but Rusev shoves him into English, lurking on the apron! Randy shoves Aiden down and stumbles over.
Rusev wins by pinfall with the thrust kick.
Rusev celebrates up the entryway like he just won the WWE Championship.Commentary informs us Kevin Owens will respond to Shane McMahon live via satellite later tonight, and Charlotte Flair will be here tonight as well.Jinder Mahal and the Singh Brothers are shown walking along backstage as we go to break.
Back from commercial, Rusev is yelling about how he just beat Randy Orton when he runs into an interview. He doesn't know what "elated" means, but he's stoked to return home a conquering hero, "Rusev #1!"The Singh Brothers give Jinder Mahal his usual huge introduction. Jinder gets on the mic and says he knows it's hard to believe but some folks were in an uproar over what he said about Shinsuke Nakamura last week, and Shinsuke himself wasn't well-pleased either, but at least his face is still full of delight. This leads to them laughing about a picture again. Mahal says he believes half of the crowd are xenophobic enough to think Japanese people feast on feline and dine on dolphin, and reiterates his thought that the crowd will turn on Nakamura. The man deserves more, he's an artist, which is just an excuse for more pointing and laughing about Shinsuke's face before telling him he always "rook the same".Jinder says the crowd sing along and chant his name to hide their own xenophobia and tells Shinsuke they're not worth it, that they say behind his back that he gets his hair cut by a dog groomer, they call him Mr. Miyagi, which gets the crowd to chant that he's taken it too far. Mahal then speaks to his people in his language of Punjabi to close the segment out.Commentary hypes up the United States Championship match once again, and it's set to go down after the break.
Back from commercial, Shinsuke Nakamura is interviewed. He has a giggle about Jinder's mockery it's very funny, but not so funny at Hell in a Cell when he wins the WWE Championship.AJ Styles makes his entrance and gets on the microphone, soaking in the atmosphere of the crowd for a second before beginning. He says after what happened between Owens and McMahon, he thinks KO has no idea what he's done, beating up a man responsible for AJ being here, responsible for the WWE Universe being here at all, and he was excited to hear that Shane has Owens in Hell in a Cell, because Kev isn't making it out.Onto Baron Corbin He took a shortcut to win Money in the Bank, cashed it in, failed. Had a chance to redeem himself by beating John Cena at SummerSlam, failed. So he's gonna tell us what we know you step in the ring with the Phenomenal One, you're gonna fail. The Lone Wolf can huff and puff, but he's never gonna blow down the House That AJ Styles Built.Baron Corbin makes his entrance and we get our introductions, but Corbin hits AJ with a double axehandle to the back of the head before the bell! Putting boots to the champ in the corner as referee Jason Ayers backs him off. Tye Dillinger clips his knee out from under him with the save. Clothesline to the outside and The Perfect Ten is still throwing hands as referees swarm him.Baron rolls back in the ring and waves off the match, holding his knee but Styles nails him with a sliding lariat before locking the Calf Killer on! Ayers wants him to break the hold but he's not having it and the Lone Wolf is tapping away.
Back from commercial, Corbin is hobbling along backstage when he limps into an interview. He blows right up on Renee Young, yelling that he feels violated. He was gonna win the title when that perfect zero jumped him from behind, then AJ attacked him and sprained his ankle with the Calf Killer. But he's not whining, bitching, or moaning, he's gonna get even.Charlotte Flair makes her entrance. She says it's good to be back, and she personally wants to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers while her dad has been sick. It's been an emotional six weeks, literally life and death, but Ric is making a comeback. But when she was away she learned a valuable lesson life is fragile and unexpected, and that's why you have to make the moments count. So from here on out, she's gonna make every moment as big as possible for her and her dad.
Enter Natalya, with some crew members trailing behind her. She says they're all real happy her dad is doing better but it's time to focus on something more important. Flair can stay because this concerns her, and she and the dudes get in the ring with an easel. As champion, she's happy to celebrate WWE's first-ever celebration of women. From the strength and courage of women like Florence Nightengale, to Oprah Winfrey, to all the incredible competitors of the Mae Young Classic, it's been women to lead the charge, break down barriers, and nurture future generations. Tonight is a celebration of all women by focusing on one woman. A woman who complete the journey that frankly Amelia Earheart couldn't, a woman that Nattie is frankly very proud of.She takes the cover off and of course it's a picture of herself. Charlotte says that was truly inspiring, uplifting even! She's glad she interrupted because she's challenging her for the SmackDown Women's Championship!
Enter Becky Lynch. She's sorry to interrupt her ego Olympics but there's something she and Charlotte agree on, that Neidhart is the craziest there is, the craziest there was, and quite possibly the craziest there ever will be. She has nothing but love for the Flairs, but she disagrees and says the title isn't going anywhere but back to her as its rightful owner.Enter Naomi. She tells Nattie she doesn't represent all women. She doesn't even represent the women of SmackDown, the only thing she represents is her stank cats.
Enter Lana and Tamina. Lana asks Natalya not to listen to these "disrespectful villagers" and Nattie is glad Lana respects her. Lana says she thinks she's a crazy cat lady who needs to shut up before continuing with an argument that the three in the ring already had their chance and now it's Tamina's time.Nattie says this isn't about any of them, it's about the women, and she's not a crazy cat lady. She's Natalya and she's going to be SmackDown Women's Champion forever.Enter Daniel Bryan. He's sorry Natalya's celebration was cut short, but tonight the women of SmackDown WILL get a spotlight, and in tonight's main event, Naomi, Becky, Tamina, and Charlotte will have a four-way match, where the winner will go on to face Nattie at Hell in a Cell.Commentary hypes up Kevin Owens for later, but up next, New Day vs. Hype Bros will be after the break.
Back from commercial, the Usos are guests at the commentary booth.

Hype Bros (Mojo Rawley & Zack Ryder) vs. New Day (Big E & Kofi Kingston)

E and Rawley to start, collar and elbow, Big goes for the abdominal stretch but Mojo reverses it on him and slaps his ribs while telling him he isn't hype! Off the ropes, big elbow from E and Rawley heads outside for a breather to send us to break.Back from commercial, Hype Bros in charge on Kingston, double-teaming him in the corner and getting a nearfall off it. Shoulder thrusts, Kofi sidesteps the third and Mojo goes hard into the post! Tags made, Big throwing Ryder around with the trifecta of belly-to-belly suplexes, hip swivel, off the ropes, the big splash but Zack got the knees up. Knees in the corner to block a charge, missile dropkick, Broski Boot, Kingston makes the save! Rawley dumps Kofi but gets low-bridged, Kingston off the ropes.Trust fall sucide dive Tag made, Ryder up on E's shoulders.New Day win by pinfall with Midnight Hour on Zack Ryder.New Day celebrate but Hype Bros do not explode at this time.Commentary walks us through a video recap of the Vince/Owens segment from last week.
KO is now live on satellite. He says the first thing he'd like to do is apologize. He really doesn't know what came over him, he's watched it again and again but he still can't believe what he did. So he apologizes to the WWE Universe, to WWE management, and a heartfelt apology to the McMahon family as well. But he can say with sincerity that Shane had it coming. He made him attack his father, made him want to headbutt his skull off his shoulder, made him want to punch and kick him, made him want to crush his ribs, it was Shane. He disrespected him and made him want to obliterate him. He has nothing but respect for Vince, and when he made that deal with Vince, he knew he was a man of his word, but he looked at him and saw Shane. One more apology, to anyone who watches Hell in a Cell, because what he did to Vince is only a fraction of what he's gonna do to Shane. He wants to condemn him to hell? No, people like him who do what he's going to do to people like Shane go to heaven.Commentary hypes up our women's #1 contender's match and we go to break.
Back from commercial, the Hype Bros are backstage. Mojo says he's tired of losing, and something has to give. If they want things to change, they're gonna have to do something drastic. Zack nods at him solemnly.Dolph Ziggler comes down to ramble about being the greatest in-ring performer in WWE history again. He does Triple H's entrance and asks if he can run NXT now. But that's not him, he can do something a little. stop the show. Or, rather, become the Showstopper, because he comes out to Shawn Michaels' theme and does his entrance. He says it doesn't get anymore superficial than that and he actually feels himself losing his smile. He doesn't know how anybody could dress like that and be taken seriously, but we can go lower. He heads back again and the D-Generation X theme plays, and of course he comes out with the glowsticks and does the thing. He has two words for us."Who cares?" He runs people down for coasting off their names into retirement and once again says all we care about entrances and don't care about matches and he's the best and so on and so forth and he doesn't care about us and he drops the mic.Commentary shills for the WWE Network for a bit before informing us that our main event begins after the break.

Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Naomi vs. Tamina (WWE SmackDown Women's Championship #1 Contender's Match)

Tamina right in on Charlotte, knocking Becky and Naomi off when they charge in, body avalanche for Flair and she uses Lynch to knock Naomi off the apron to the floor. Lariat and a suplex for Charlotte and we go to break with Snuka in firm control.Back from commercial and Tamina is still well in charge, Flair laid out. Charlotte floats out of a slam, lands a front kick and starts throwing chops before taking Snuka's knee out from under her. Becky and Naomi add a kick and a leg drop respectively and without Tamina in we have a free-for-all.Lynch whips Flair in the corner and stacks Naomi on her but Charlotte sends Naomi outside, exploder set up, Naomi with a crossbody on both women. Speedball kicks on Flair, duck the buzzsaw, off the ropes, wheelbarrow stunner connects. Sunset flip for a nearfall and right into A Bad End but Becky breaks it up and locks Dis-Arm-Her on Naomi in turn!
Snuka breaks that up and hits a side slam on Lynch but a charge puts her into the post and Becky fights Charlotte and Naomi two-on-one for a moment before Tamina comes back to take her out. Flair with a spear on Snuka, she picks Naomi off the turnbuckles, stacks 'em up, Charlotte climbs. Moonsault on both women but both covers did not get a three count. Calling for the Figure Eight on Naomi, she gets the figure four leglock, bridges up.Becky with the diving leg drop but Tamina breaks it up All four women down and out, Snuka to her feet first, fireman's carry on Lynch, Samoan drop, she's calling for it, climbing up top as Lana cheers her on.Superfly Splash but Naomi get the save.Lana yanks Naomi out of the ring and gets laid out with a roundhouse, Tamina hits a superkick in turn, Charlotte comes over.
Charlotte Flair wins by pinfall with the big boot, becoming #1 contender to the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship.
Charlotte celebrates as Natalya watches on a monitor.

We go to the ring and out come new SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos as Greg Hamilton does the introduction. The Usos say they told everyone they had the tag team division on lock. The music hits and out comes Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. Kofi is dancing around while Big E and Xavier are moving slower than usual due to Sunday's brutal match. The Usos say both teams went to war last night and the other teams in the back suck. Woods wouldn't say they suck but these teams in the ring are the best. The Usos go on with props for both of them, also talking about how beat up they were after the match. The Usos say they and The New Day are the tag team division and they run the division. The New Day wonders if The Usos are asking for a truce. The Usos say it's all about respect. The fans pop. The

The Revival to BREAK The Hardys

One night after WWE's Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view kept fans buzzing due to the physical nature of the double main event, Monday's episode of Raw kept the intensity going.  It may not have been the most even three hours of wrestling from beginning to end, but Raw delivered a trio of exciting storylines that left a lot more questions than answers, which is exactly the right way to keep viewers coming back.  The show's highlight was a red-hot dialogue segment between Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe, which began to reveal what the future might look like in terms of booking heading into SummerSlam. It was announced that Reigns and Joe will meet next week for a shot at Lesnar's universal title in August.  There was also the unresolved developments between former Shield partners Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose, which stretched out over a pair of segments, after both wrestlers -- still more cautious foes than friends -- rescued one another from e
