James Wins for Carmella and Maria Kanellis Returns

Money in the Bank was an interesting show as are all the products produced by WWE, the first match of the card not including the pre-show was the Women's Ladder match which started off with Tamina dominated in the early going, slamming ladders into everyone who tried to step into the ring. Natalya cleared the ring and had her fingertips on the briefcase before Charlotte yanked her off a ladder. Other participants collided into each other as momentum shifted from wrestler to wrestler. Lynch seemed to be closing in on the victory when James Ellsworth pushed her off a ladder. He unhooked the briefcase to give it to Carmella. Referees bickered over whether that should allow Carmella to win. Both Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan sent out tweets saying they’d address the situation on Smackdown this week. I think that throughout the match they could have used the dynamic of the Welcoming Committee but WWE chose not to what a missed opportunity they could have even let James take a bump it would have been great but I mean it was a good match up but it did leave me thinking they just could have done much more in this first ever Women's ladder match at Money in the Bank.  I originally did want Becky to win but I saw this theory that detoured me and then I thought yeah okay maybe a lot of people are right Carmella is going to win. The theory goes after the draft each Women came out and in the order, they came out is the order of their championship run obviously that is just a theory. Of course, the theory doesn't determine how long they will have it for but it seems to be holding up so far but at the end of the day, no one knows what Vince is thinking so who really knows.
Kofi Kingston and Big E beat up on the champs early on but The Usos gained control over sending Kingston tumbling out of the ring. Jimmy and Jey Uso slowed the pace of the match and punished Kingston in their corner Kofi fought back valiantly. Big E overpowered his foes for a stretch, In the end, Big E and Kingston performed the Midnight Hour on Jey. Kingston pinned Jey, but Jimmy pulled Jey out of the ring to avoid the pinfall and they were intentionally counted out. Thus, The New Day won, but The Usos retained the titles. Though o do wanna see The New Day as tag champs once again I think that right now it's good that The Usos are still champs it makes New Day look strong while still keeping the titles on the Usos. With the New Day now being there, it elevates the division and the champs as well.
An aggressive Lana went right after Naomi, she flung her around the ring and grounded her with submission holds. The champ kicked Lana into a daze she responded by going after Naomi's legs. Lana appeared to have the match won with her sit out spine buster, but In the climax of the match, Carmella came out and teased cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase. Naomi then forced Lana to submit to the Slay-O-Mission to retain the title. Carmella again teased cashing in her briefcase but decided not to. Afterward, Maria Kanellis made her return to WWE, her last appearance being in 2010, along with her husband Mike Bennett, who made his debut appearance for WWE and now goes by the name Mike Kanellis. The two cut a promo about the "power of love" and shared a kiss before departing backstage
Greg Gagne, Larry Hennig, and Sgt. Slaughter were among the legends who sat in the front row to take in this match. Jinder Mahal egged on the crowd before going into battle he found himself eating forearms after the opening bell rang. Randy Orton walloped him with a methodical offense The Viper, though, tweaked his knee on a spill outside the ring. Mahal pounced on the weak point in a hurry, Mahal used a number of moves the legends made famous. Orton executed an RKO on Mahal, however, Sunil placed Mahal's foot on the rope, avoiding the pinfall at a two count. The referee then evicted The Singh Brothers from ringside. Before they left, they attempted to attack WWE Hall of Famer and Orton's father, "Cowboy" Bob Orton, only for Orton to attack the brothers, ending the attack with an RKO outside the ring on Sunil and an RKO through the announce table on Samir. After Orton returned to the ring, Mahal executed the Khallas on Orton to retain the title. Orton and Mahal told a classic story of babyface against heel, resilient hero against the vicious villain. The match did well to make use of its many moving parts, from the legends at ringside to the Singh Brothers.
Breezango delivered another Fashion Files segment this time the duo parodied the old Fuji Vice bits. A mystery team announced it was the one that trashed Tyler Breeze and Fandango's office, challenging the fashion police to the match. In the ring, Breeze and Fandango held their own in a slugfest until Konnor took control of Tyler Breeze. The Ascension then slowed the pace to a crawl they tried to isolate Breeze, but Fandango went on a flurry to even things up. A roll-up ended things in the babyfaces' favor.
The main event was the Money in the Bank ladder match between Baron Corbin, United States Champion Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Dolph Ziggler. As Nakamura made his entrance, Corbin attacked him with a ladder, taking Nakamura out for a majority of the match. Owens and Zayn brawled outside the ring Corbin went after everyone. Chaos marked as Owens attacked Styles and Corbin took down Ziggler. Soon, Zayn, Styles, Corbin, and Ziggler all looked to be moments away from winning, but their foes got in their way each time. Corbin cleared the ring and was on his way to victory, but Nakamura returned, The King of Strong Style whipped him. Nakamura and Styles had a faceoff at the base of the ladder that set the crowd afire. The Lone Wolf, Baron Corbin eventually pushed his opponents aside to claim the briefcase, thus becoming the 2017 Mr. Money in the Bank. This was everything a Money in the Bank should be electric and a star-making moment for Corbin, who throughout the match very much played a destroyer part. Displaying the Owens and Zayn's rivalry added an electricity to the match each man took unbelievable risks. Nasty, dangerous spots provided highlight after highlight, WWE used Nakamura well, making sure to showcase him near the end. His return was a huge moment, and his showdown with Styles was a mini dream match.

Momentum continued to shift back and forth The Hardy Boyz emerged the victors' thanks to a Swanton bomb. Near the announce desk, The Revival and The Hardys brawled Anderson and Gallows leaped into the fray. The announcers tried to play up how much these teams can't stand each other, but WWE hasn't done a great job showing us that to this point Their issues don't feel especially personal. So, this brawl didn't have the emotional oomph it would have if it was set up better WWE appears to be headed toward a multiple-team Tag Team Championship bout. Cesaro and Sheamus don't really have any rivals at this point There isn't a singular story to dive into And so, a crowded stage is the only plausible direction for SummerSlam.             ...

The online interview with Riddick Moss and Tino Sabatelli from after Moss’ loss to Gargano last week is shown to set-up our first match. Johnny Gargano  def. Tino Sabatelli via submission with Gargano Escape; Johnny reacted to being disrespected early by firing back with a flurry of offense, but Sabatelli weathers the storm and takes control. Tino looks to be in good position after countering the slingshot spear into a power slam, but he trash talks and calls Gargano “the weak link of #DIY”, which fires Johnny up again. A superkick sets up the finish. William Regal is telling the cameraman a story about a Quiet Riot concert when Roderick Strong knocks on the door.
